I am requesting your assistance in distributing the
following research participation request among your master's-level counseling
students. The purpose of this study is to explore the level of resilience

relationship to background variables, risk and protective variables, and
counseling-program variables.

I am a doctoral candidate of Counselor Education at the
University of New Orleans and my interest for researching about resilience
among counseling trainees and counseling practitioners was sparked a great deal
by my own experience after hurricane Katrina. There are a lot of areas of
application of this line of research, which looks at the strengths instead of
the weaknesses among counseling trainees and counseling practitioners.
