friendly reminder of the pertinent dates for Graduate candidates who are
planning on a Spring graduation.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

Deadline to apply for Spring graduation at the Office of the Registrar is April
20.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

students must have all degree requirements completed before June 11, in order
to participate in the graduation ceremony.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

your candidate is planning to defend a dissertation or thesis <i>and</i>
applying for Spring 2010 graduation, the final day to have the defense details
to Ramona is APRIL 9. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:blue'>At
least two weeks in advance of their defense, <i>the candidate should send me an
email</i> with the <i>confirmed</i> DATE, TIME and ROOM, CURRENT COMMITTEE and
CURRENT DISSERTATION or Thesis TITLE. <o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:blue'>I
must post the defense bulletin on the 2<sup>nd</sup> floor bulletin board, and
distribute the defense report paperwork to the committee and candidate no less than
2 weeks in advance of the defense. The Chair of the committee will receive the
Defense report form, announcement, and Dean’s Rep Report form. The Dean’s Rep
will receive the announcement and a Dean’s Rep report form. The committee
members and the candidate will each receive an announcement.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
