in counselor education programs are expected to perform in a variety of roles,
yet there is almost no research that investigates how they experience these
multiple roles. </span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;color:black'>Dr. Barbara
Herlihy and I are conducting a research study on <i>Doctoral Students and
Multiple Roles</i>. This study has been approved by the Institutional
Review Board at the University of New Orleans. </span><span style='font-size:

<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;color:black'>Your
participation will involve completing an electronic survey entitled the </span><i><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;color:black'>Doctoral Students and Multiple Roles
Survey (DSMRS)</span></i><span style='font-size:10.0pt;color:black'>. The
<i>DSMRS</i> will take approximately </span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
color:black'>15 to 20 minutes. </span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;color:black'>In
the survey we ask </span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;color:black'>you to (1)
provide some demographic information and (2) indicate the extent to which you
understand and feel confident about your ability to perform various roles. You
may be asked to complete this survey again in future years as you progress
through your doctoral journey. For this reason, we ask you to provide the last
4 numbers of your university ID number, for tracking purposes only. We will
make no attempt to match the numbers with your names or to identify you in any
other way. We suggest that you delete your temporary internet files and close
the browser after submitting the survey. In agreeing to participate in this
