In our previous message sent on January 29, we shared that ACA was in the process of developing community resources around counselor safety as well as seeking ways to increase opportunities for dialogue where the community could connect and share concerns. Today, we wanted to check back in with a follow up to that message to share a new resource and an opportunity with you.



New Resource: Counseling Today Online Exclusive

Counselor safety remains one of the most pressing concerns across practice settings. We spoke to counselors and workplace safety experts to develop an in depth article that examines the evolving realities of safety in counseling practices and offers strategies for reducing risk. This piece explores environmental considerations, client interaction protocols, and system-level approaches to creating safer counseling spaces. Introducing Counselor Chats - A New Monthly Webinar

We are also excited to share that Counselor Chats - a new, monthly webinar experience designed to create space for open engagement and dialogue around the most pressing topics in the profession - will launch in March.



Our first session, "Counseling and Immigration: A Community Conversation" will take place on March 9 from 12-1 p.m. ET. Conversation leaders Patricia Arredondo, Sandra Bertram Grant, Mary Fawcett, Dawnette Cigrand, and Rieko Miyakuni will lead an open discussion on how shifting immigration policies and public discourse are impacting clients, families, and communities.
