Hearty congratulations to Dr. Jennifer Ojiambo Isiko for the outstanding recognition of her article based on her dissertation in the Journal of Counselor Leadership and Advocacy! It was my honor to collaborate with Jennifer on this article as second author.

Congratulations Dr. Ojiambo Isiko!! Jennifer served as Vice President of the Alpha Chapter of CSI for two years. Way to go Jennifer!!

Congratulations!!
Dr. Storlie and I are excited to share that your article, "Predictors of social justice interest and commitment in counselor trainees," has been selected for the 2025 Outstanding JCLA Article Award. After a thorough review of all nominations, articles, and metrics, we determined your article was indeed our top selection for all articles from Volume 12 (2025). Given the importance of developing students to become professional counselor invested in social justice outcomes, your quantitative research advances the profession with knowledge to further this end.
Once again, congratulations on this award! Our process for this year is to ensure the authors are first notified, then we will share the information with the JCLAEditorial Board.
