I hope this email finds you well. My name is Julie Ann Taopo, and I am reaching out on behalf of the Florida Counseling Association (FCA) Convention Committee. We are hosting our 77th Annual Florida Counseling Association Convention at the Hutchinson Shores Resort and Spa from Thursday, September 24, 2026 - Saturday, September 29, 2026. This year's theme is "Brave Hearts, Bold Voices: Counselors Rising for Healing and Equity in Every Space".


We would love to connect with your master and doctoral program and invite your students and faculty to engage with FCA 2026 through conference attendance, networking opportunities, professional development, and potential student involvement opportunities. Our goal is to strengthen collaboration between counseling graduate programs across Florida while creating spaces for students to connect with professionals, educators, supervisors, and peers within the counseling field.


We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to:

  *   Explore ways graduate students may become involved

To provide students, faculty, and counseling professionals with additional time to develop and submit high-quality proposals, the presentation submission deadline has been extended to July 6. We especially encourage graduate students to consider submitting poster presentations, as they offer a valuable opportunity to share research, clinical experiences, program evaluations, and advocacy initiatives with the broader counseling community. Poster presentations promote professional growth, facilitate networking with peers and experienced professionals, and allow presenters to receive meaningful feedback while contributing to the advancement of the counseling profession.
