Congratulations to our doctoral student, Nic Smith. Nic will serve as President Elect of the Ohio Association for Resiliency and Trauma Counseling. Nic - thank you for your leadership and advocacy!


President Elect: Nicolas Smith is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor in Ohio. Nic is a second-year doctoral student in Counselor Education and Supervision at Ohio University. He has completed additional trainings in EMDR and TF-CBT, and worked in community mental health, private practice, and university settings. This includes working with children, adolescents, substance use, court involvement, and crisis clients. He has had the opportunity to serve in various roles within counseling organizations to advocate for clients and their access to mental health services. Nic has served the past 2 years as part of the Professional Development Committee for OARTC and is excited to serve this year as the President-Elect.
