[Counselor_Educ] FW: [External] Seeking Masters Student Participants for Research Study

 Dear Counseling Students,

I am writing to invite you to participate in a research study<https://syracuseuniversity.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bIsQUaHOF4Sbr1A> which seeks to explore predictors of sexual intervention self-efficacy in counselors-in-training!

The study seeks to understand the factors which influence the ability of counselors-in-training to intervene in sexuality-related issues with clients, and your participation is instrumental in understanding these phenomena. If you agree to participate, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire consisting of three (3) brief surveys and several demographic questions. You will respond to most items following the Likert format. Completion of the entire questionnaire entails approximately 15-20 minutes, and the completion of this questionnaire will be the only request made of you.

To participate in this study, you must be:
(a)   currently enrolled in a CACREP-accredited master’s degree program in counseling
(b)   currently residing in the United States, and
(c)   18 years of age or older.

Results based on your responses will be used in this study and subsequent presentations and/or publications. A summary of results can be shared after the completion of the study per request at dfox01 at syr.edu<mailto:dfox01 at syr.edu>. I will ensure that the dataset used for future research purpose contain no identifiable information. The data will be maintained confidentially. Participants of the study will be randomly selected to win one of five $25 electronic gift cards. Please note that you are under no obligation to participate in this study and you can choose to withdraw your consent to participate at any time. You will not be required to do anything in order to withdraw from the study, other than closing out of the survey. Participation in this study poses no risks greater than those encountered in your day-to-day life.
