I hope you’ve all been doing well, I very much miss our cohort and hope it has been another successful year!

I’m reaching out to share an upcoming professional development opportunity that may be of interest to the current master's and doctoral students, as well as any faculty who may be interested.  I’d greatly appreciate it if you’d be willing to pass this along to students via the listserv and/or in class.


Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is hosting the 2026 Annual Social Worker & Clinical Counselor Conference, titled “Healing in Every Dimension: Connecting Health, Mind, and Community.” The conference will be held virtually on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. (EST) and offers 6.0 CEUs. Student registration is $25.


The conference focuses on whole-person and integrated care for children and families, including topics such as resilience-building, caregiver support, early childhood mental health, supportive learning environments, and strengthening our communities. It is intended for counselors, social workers, community health workers, and other allied health professionals.


I’m especially excited to share that I will be presenting a session titled “Integrated Behavioral Health in Pediatrics: Prevention and Whole-Child Care,” which will explore preventive, collaborative approaches about how we support youth in pediatric primary care by blending early intervention and mental & behavioral health with physical health.


I’ve attached the conference flyer for reference, which includes registration details and deadlines. Registration closes Monday, March 9, 2026.
