Ohio Counselor Educators:

OSCA is excited to announce that begining August 1, 2025, all student members of OSCA will have included with their membership at no additional cost a one million dollar malpractice insurance policy provided through CPH Insurance. OSCA appreciates your support and asks for your assistance in helping to share this new opportunity with your school counselor graduate students this coming acadmic year.

To facilitate this service, on August 1, OSCA student membership rates will increase from $20 to $30. While this is a slight increase, obtaining insurance through OSCA will repesent a cost saving compared to student membership with ASCA. Student membership with OSCA also provides discounted rates to our conference, free access to virtual PD and more.

When joining or renewing, student members will receive within their confirmation email sent after final processing a unique link from OSCA/CPH to register for their insurance. Upon registration and verification, they will be emailed their personalized insurance plan.

We recognize the value and need for student members to carry such insurance as they enter schools for practicum and internship and hope this opportunity not only supports that need, but encourages their engagement with the association and school counseling profession in Ohio.
