Marc Ellison, Ed.D. is the executive director of the West Virginia Autism Training Center, located at Marshall University in Huntington, WV.
Dr. Ellison is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked over four decades to provide person-centered services and advocacy to individuals diagnosed with autism, their families, and those who support them. A past president of the West Virginia Licensed Professional Counselors Association, he has worked regularly to assist other mental health providers in their efforts to deliver quality therapeutic supports to clients diagnosed with ASD. One of the joys of his professional career is serving as clinical supervisor for those entering the profession.
Dr. Ellison has authored or co-authored several publications on autism-specific supports, including Benchmarks of Effective Supports for College Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (2013), and co-wrote a chapter in Autism Spectrum Disorders: Identification, Education, and Treatment - 4th Edition. (Routledge, 2017).  He continues as a board member of the West Virginia Licensed Professional Counselors, was appointed by the WV governor to the state's Developmental Disabilities Council, and is the Chair of the Autism Society of America's Panel of Professional Advisors.
