[Counselor_Educ] Risk Factors for Severity of Grief (IRB Number: 22-X-147)

Dear participant,


We invite you to participate in a research study examining risk factors of complicated grief. This study is being conducted by a team from the Department of Counseling and Higher Education, Ohio University. The study’s approval protocol number with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Ohio University is IRB Number: 22-X-147.


Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary. If you decide not to participate, there are no penalties. If you decide to participate and then decide to withdraw at any time. 30 participants who fill out the survey, which takes approximately 20 minutes, will receive a $10 gift card, and those 30 participants will be randomly selected from a list of participants who shared their email at the end of the survey.



Explanation of Study

In this study, you will provide demographic information and answer questions related to your loved one’s death and your grief experience on the Qualtrics survey. At the end of the survey, you will be asked if you want your name to be added to the $10 Amazon gift card selection process. If so, please put your email address, and the researcher will contact you to give you the gift card if you are one of the selected participants.
