The Appalachian Children Coalition in collaboration with Logan-Hocking School District invites you to attend a Youth Mental Health Summit: Suicide Prevention. The event will take place on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Chieftain Center at Logan High School.

Highlights include keynote addresses by Rebecca Benghiat, President and Chief Operating Officer, The Jed Foundation, and Amberle Prater, Ph.D., LPCC-S,  clinical lead supervisor for the Center for Suicide Prevention and Research (CSPR) at Nationwide Children's Hospital, and a group of students from Logan-Hocking Schools discussing their own experiences with current prevention programming. Break out sessions will cover school based health clinics and on-site services for students and families, how to implement suicide prevention education framework in your school, and best-practices from current programming. An optional tour of Logan-Hocking School's new school-based health clinic will be offered at the end of the day.

CEUs will be available for school personnel, social workers, and counselors. There is no cost to attend.
