Dear Potential Participant,

My name is Taewon Kim, and I am a doctoral candidate in the Counselor Education program at University of Central Florida. I cordially invite you to my dissertation study.

I am conducting a research study to verify the association between collectivism/individualism and working alliance and to examine the potential mediation role of countertransference and self-differentiation. The current study aims to comprehend counselors' cultural backgrounds and their influences on working alliances and further provide practical knowledge about the associated factors for counseling sessions.

The research team includes myself and is overseen by my dissertation committee. My dissertation is co-chaired by Dr. Ann Shillingford-Butler & Dr. Kent Butler and includes other faculty members, Dr. Melissa Zeligman, Dr. Gulnora Hundley, and Dr. Debbie L. Hahs-Vaughn.

Participation will take place online through a web-based Qualtrics survey. The estimated time for you to finish the questionnaires is approximately 10-15 mins.

To participate in the current study, you are required to be (a) 18 years of age or older; (b) currently enrolled at Counseling program in a university or college; and (c) fluent in English.
