Ohio University rocked it at the All Ohio Counselors Conference yesterday!
In addition to numerous presentations by current students, alumni, and faculty, the following individuals were recognized with awards. Congratulations to all!!

OCA Herman J Peters Award - Dr. Yegan Pillay, Ohio University
An individual who promotes innovative ideas and theories in the counseling field that has a significant impact on future trends.

OCA Susan J. Sears Counselor of the Year Award - Dr. Jake Protivnak, Youngstown State University (Ohio University alum)
An individual who has gone beyond the call of duty by demonstrating exceptional service as a practitioner and/or counselor educator, through the application of OCA goals.

OCA Tom Davis Outstanding Mentoring Award - Dr. Jenna Alvarez, University of Cincinnati (Ohio University alum)
A counselor educator or counselor who is an outstanding mentor to students.
This award was endowed by Dr. Tom Davis, Professor Emeritus.

OSCA School Counselor Educator of the Year - Dr. Christine Suniti Bhat, Ohio University (Ohio University alum)
To honor a counselor educator who has made a significant contribution to the school counseling profession and the development of pre-service school counselor.

The current OSCA President, Willa Marie Jackson is an Ohio University alum from our last Lancaster master's cohort.

The current OACES President, Dr. Tamarine Foreman!

Several of our doctoral students were honored for completing the OCA Leadership Certificate program. I know Shazia Naurin and Richa Bhatia were among them. Stay tuned for a full listing!
