The Ohio State Board of Education (SBOE) will be meeting again this Wednesday, October 12, 2022, to continue the discussion and hold a vote on the anti-trans Resolution to Support Parents, Schools, and Districts in Rejecting Harmful, Coercive, and Burdensome Gender Identity Policies.

Ohio's State Board of Education has a resolution targeting LGBTQ+ students and rejecting Title IX protections. At the next State Board of Education meeting on Tues, September 20th, a board member will present an anti-LGBTQ+ resolution for the board’s consideration.

Some of what this resolution would do is:
- Oppose the Federal Title IX changes made in June that includes specific protections for LGBTQ+ students.
- Require the Ohio superintendent to instruct all school districts to disregard Title IX guidance.
- Require all Ohio schools to report student identities, alternative names, and pronouns to families regardless of possible risks for youth. - Prohibit trans youth in sports and school facilities.
- Reject "harmful, coercive, and burdensome gender identity policies".
