Subject: EXT: Application Open for Auburn University's Vocational Evaluation Forensic Certificate Program
Dear Faculty and Staff,
We kindly ask that you consider sharing this information with your students who are interested in working with individuals with disabilities, as well as vocational or forensic evaluation.
Auburn University’s Vocational Evaluation Forensic Certificate (VEFC) is a newly funded training certificate by the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) of the U.S. Department of Education. We are excited to offer this training certificate both to students and professionals interested in furthering their education and professional development.
Our main objective for the VEFC program is employment: 1) that an increased number of people will be trained in evidence-based practices and current vocational evaluation and forensic techniques, and 2) that by implementing these skills, individuals with disabilities will find greater and more positive employment outcomes.
In short, our program is a one-year, six-course training certificate that can be completed in person or via distance education. Students and professionals with a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree are eligible. We have 15 scholarships available and applications are due July 1st, 2021, or until all spots are filled. For additional information, please visit our website at http://vefc.auburn.edu/ or contact forensicrehab at auburn.edu<mailto:forensicrehab at auburn.edu>.
Thank you in advance,
