Thank you for your response. We are looking for Master`s level Social Work or Counseling interns who are in need of placement for the 3 semesters of clinical internship. Marion Area Counseling Center (“MACC”) is a Behavioral Healthcare organization located in Marion, OH. We serve over 3,000 clients annually who are diagnosed with mental health or substance abuse related diagnoses. Our internship program (typically 3 semesters) allows students to get a full experience in the clinical setting. Students will start out observing during their first semester while getting oriented to our procedures and our quality assurance guidelines for documentation. By semesters 2 and 3 they will be either assisting with or leading group sessions, individual appointments, and before the end of their internship doing diagnostic assessments. Students are supervised by either a LPCC-S or LISW-S, depending on their field of study, with over 20 years’ experience in the field, most of which was here at MACC.
