We have had an unanticipated faculty position open in our CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling programs for the coming academic year. We invite you to encourage any interested new doctoral graduates or candidates with ABD status to consider applying for this one-year visiting assistant professor position. Our timeline is tight, so we encourage application without delay.
Job Description: The University of Saint Joseph is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor to join the Department of Counseling and Applied Behavioral Studies as a member of the core faculty. This full-time position has been initially approved for one academic year. The successful candidate will teach in our CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling programs. The position will begin in mid-August 2021. Candidates with appropriate academic credentials, clinical experience, a strong work ethic, and who typically engage others in a caring manner are invited to apply.
Responsibilities include teaching, advising students, and participating in service for the department.
Qualifications include:

*       Earned doctoral degree or ABD in Counselor Education preferably from a CACREP accredited program by the starting date

*       Clinical and teaching experience germane to the position

  *   Cultural competency to work with diverse student and/or employee population
  *   Commitment to the mission of the University of Saint Joseph
  *   Physical ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
