NCLEP Portability Measure Proposed to Virginia State Board

NBCC is hoping that Virginia will become the first state to include the National Counselor Licensure Endorsement Process (NCLEP)<http://NBCC.informz.net/z/cjUucD9taT03MTEwOTU3JnA9MSZ1PTgzMjkzNzE0MCZsaT01MzU3MDUzOQ/index.html> in its counselor licensure rules. The NCLEP would make it simpler for counselors licensed in another state to be approved for practice in Virginia.

OPM, VA Language Adopted in Key Report

President Trump signed legislation on Sept. 21 that directs the VA to work with the Office of Personnel Management to create an Occupational Series for mental health counselors and a staffing plan for counselors to fill vacant positions in the agency.

Uganda Institute Gives Counselors Global Perspective
