Dear ACA Member,

This week the United States House of Representatives will vote on H.R. 620 "The ADA Education and Reform Act."

If passed, this bill would allow businesses to sidestep many of the consequences they would have faced in the past for violating statutes found within the American Disabilities Act (ADA).

This particular bill would not penalize a business that had any ADA violating architectural structures unless the person(s) being impacted wrote a detailed letter of how said structure is violating their rights under the ADA.  Also if passed this bill would only require businesses to show "progress" and not actually fix any ADA violations.

As a mental health professional you know how important it is that everyone whether they are an employee or a client should feel safe and respected in any environment.
Therefore please ask your Member of Congress to Vote NO on H.R. 620 "The ADA Education and Reform Act."
