Position title:          Faculty Member for the Master of Counseling (MAC) Program

Position summary



The College of Education and Counseling at Saint Martin's University is seeking a faculty member in the Master in Counseling (MAC) Program beginning August of 2018.



The position includes leadership and participation in the MAC program through teaching, student advising, assessment, accreditation, professional development, research, and other academically-related activities.

Faculty members are expected to teach effectively, to engage in scholarship, and to contribute to the life of the University through service. Essential Functions and Responsibilities



Teaching/Instruction: Teach graduate courses in counseling, supervise student interns, provide academic advising, and collaborate on curriculum design.



Leadership and Program Development: Serve as Chair of the Program.  Lead accreditation efforts and annual assessment activities.



Qualifications



• PhD or PsyD from a CACREP accredited program

• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the graduate level

• Clinical membership in national association ACA

• Washington State Licensure and Supervisor credentials in MFT/MHC (or ability to qualify)

• Clinical experience (3-year minimum)

• Desired: AAMFT Nationally Approved Supervisor (or ability to qualify)

• Supportive of a Catholic perspective informed by the values of faith, reason, service, and community.

• Ability to align with the Benedictine values of reverence, listening, community, respect, hospitality, justice, and stability.
