I am writing to you to request you to forward my survey request to the master level counseling students. Kindly forward the following email to your students, so that I can successfully complete my Doctoral Research:

My name is Varinder Kaur and I am a doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at The University of Toledo. I am currently working with Dr. John Laux on completing my dissertation. The primary purpose of my study is to examine the relationship between counseling students’ mindfulness and stress when controlling for rumination.

I am in the process of recruiting participants and I would greatly appreciate your help in this process. To participate in this study, participants must be currently enrolled in a CACREP accredited master level counseling program in the State of Ohio. Participants will be asked to complete a demographic survey, a survey on stress, a survey on rumination, and a survey on mindfulness. The total time commitment for the survey is approximately 10-15 minutes. Participation in the study is completely voluntary and participants may withdraw at any time without penalty. There are no anticipated risks associated with participating in this study.

Data collected in connection with this study will remain anonymous. Information collected through participation in this study will be used to fulfill educational requirements and may be published in a professional journal or presented at a professional conference. I would like to invite your students to participate in my study. This research has been approved by the Institutional Review Board for protection of human subjects at the University of Toledo, Ohio. Please forward this e-mail announcement to your students. Thanks in advance for your help with this project!
