POSITION
School Mental Health Counselor

DESCRIPTION
Primary role is to provide counseling services to students identified with Emotional Disturbance.

LOCATION
To Be Determined
Will service local public schools ED students

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Masters Degree with Ohio LISW, LPC, LPCC, or Licensed School Counselor.
Ability to provide intensive counseling services. Prefer experience working in a school setting, experience working with youth and families and/or
experience dealing with social, emotional and behavioral issues. Ability to keep accurate records and meet timelines. Ability to work with a multitude
of individuals (students, teachers, administrators, parents).

RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct individual counseling and consultation with Emotional Disturbance (ED) population within the county, assist with transitioning of ED students,
participate as member of county-wide safety and crisis team, provide individual and group counseling,  attend staff meetings, complete assessments/screenings for mental health concerns (e.g. depression), assist
with county mental health in-services for staff and parents, may do home visits with school representative as part of consultation process, assist in developing recordkeeping process, keep accurate documentation, and submit monthly reports to Superintendent.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS
Days worked will be based upon school year calendars and needs of schools/students.
