The Counselor Education Program at the University of Central Missouri is excited to invite applications for a 9-month tenure-track assistant professor position.

The Program: The Counselor Education Program at the University of Central Missouri is a CACREP accredited program that prepares clinical mental health and school counselors at the master and education specialist levels who:

•        demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills and dispositions,

•        are reflective practitioners,

•        advocate for clients, the counseling profession and society,

•        are prepared to serve a dynamic, diverse and complex society, and

•        adhere to the ethical standards of the American Counseling Association<http://www.counseling.org/Resources/CodeOfEthics/TP/Home/CT2.aspx>.

 The University: The University of Central Missouri  (UCM) is a comprehensive, public institution that was founded in 1871 and serves more than 14,000studnets from 42 states and 61 countries.  The UCM experience transforms students into lifelong learners, dedicated to service, with the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed and lead in the region, state, nation and world.

UCM's programs are fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of North Central Association of Colleges & Schools, and its teacher education programs have been authorized by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
