Subject: Research Request: Training Therapists’ Experiences and Conceptualizations

Dear Dr. Adrienne Erby,

Hello! Our research team is conducting a study on therapist trainees’ case conceptualizations, and we would be grateful if you would be willing to share the information below with your current students (both Master's and doctoral students are eligible if engaged in clinical work). Thank you very much for your time and consideration!

Hello!

Our research team is conducting a study on therapist trainees’ case conceptualization abilities, personal attitudes, and training experiences. If you are currently a Master’s or doctoral student in an applied mental health field (e.g., counseling psychology, clinical psychology, mental health counseling, social work, school counseling, school psychology, and rehabilitation counseling) who is working with clients, or has worked with clients, and are interested in participating in this study, please follow the included link to the Informed Consent page: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CV2L9VW

Participation is voluntary, and your answers will be anonymous. The survey is expected to take approximately 30-45 minutes. There are no expected risks to this study. The benefit of this study is a contribution to better understanding factors that influence case conceptualization, which may help inform training and support of counselor trainees. After completion of the study, participants may enter for the opportunity to win 1 of 4 $20 Amazon Gift Cards.

This study has been approved by the Louisiana Tech University Institutional Review Board. If you have any questions about this study, please contact the Principal Investigator, Melanie Lantz, Ph.D., at mmlantz at latech.edu<mailto:mmlantz at latech.edu>. You may also contact the Louisiana Tech University Institutional Review Board at san at coes.latech.edu<mailto:san at coes.latech.edu> and maryml at latech.edu<mailto:maryml at latech.edu>.

Thank you for your consideration!
