Hello, I sent an message last semester seeking your assistance in sending an email to your rehabilitation counseling students asking if they would participate in a study related to measuring their competencies in assisting people with disabilities during disasters. We still need more participants so I was hoping you could resend the survey to all of your students? I will send 2 more reminder emails every two weeks in hopes of increasing the sample size (if you could resend the survey each time that should increase participation).  Please let me know if you have any questions. See message below.

Message to be sent:

My name is Matthew Sprong and I am conducting a study to examine your competencies related to assisting people with disabilities during disasters. Please consider taking the survey as we are attempting to develop training materials to make sure we all have the necessary competencies to prevent serious injury or death of persons with disabilities when disasters arise.

You will be asked to indicate how much you agree with a variety of short statements. The survey is expected to take approximately 15 minutes or less to complete. At the end of the survey, you will be asked to complete a short demographic questionnaire. Please note that all of your responses are anonymous as I will be unable to link you to your data. I am not collecting geographic data or IP addresses, so once you complete the survey, there is no indication that you participated. However, you will have an opportunity to enter your email into a drawing and be selected to win 1 of 10, $15 Visa gift cards.
