My name is Heather Dahl and I am doctoral candidate in Counseling at Old Dominion University. I am currently working on my dissertation, and am looking for a few more participants for my qualitative inquiry (see request below). Those who qualify to participate include counselor educators, counseling doctoral or master's students, and practitioners who have worked with a suicidal client. I have been following this thread closely on suicide prevention and assessment training, and am currently looking for perspectives like yours for a study that I am conducting, and would like to invite you to participate. I am hoping that you will agree and we can further discuss this extremely important topic. If you are available, I would love to schedule a Skype or phone interview at your earliest convenience!



We are asking for volunteers to participate in a qualitative inquiry based on your experience working with suicidal clients. We are interested in perspectives from counselors and current students who have previously worked with a suicidal client. If you are a counseling student, to qualify, you need to be enrolled in or have previously taken practicum as well. Participants will be asked to participate in a brief interview on their experiences with this topic.

Any information you provide is confidential and findings from this study will be presented in group format, further ensuring you are not identified in any way. Participation is voluntary. You have a right as a participant to withdraw from the study at any time.
