Position Announcement
   

 
   
The Adler Graduate School (AGS) is seeking a 30 hour/week Program Associate for its Master’s-level Mental Health Counseling (MHC) program.  This is a 12-month position. 
   
   
   

 
   
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities associated with the Mental Health Counseling Program Associate position include providing student advising and curriculum planning regarding the Mental Health Counseling Program.  The Program Associate collaborates with the Program Director or other MHC/AGS clinical faculty members to develop syllabi and clinical outcomes that meet AGS graduation requirements and MN Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy competencies.  The Program Associate will also collaborate with the MHC Field Experience Coordinator to build and maintain satisfactory clinical field experience sites and serve as a community ambassador for the Adler Graduate School including developing relationships with feeder schools.  The MHC Program Associate will participate in the life of the Adler Graduate School as an active, engaged faculty member. 
   
ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Additional teaching responsibilities, field experience supervision, and master’s project oversight within the school are likely and are compensated separately from Program Associate hours. 
 
   
CREDENTIALS: Doctorate in counselor education and supervision or closely-related field is preferred. Preference given to candidates from CACREP accredited institutions. Preference is also given to candidates with degrees from Adlerian-based training institutions. Current Minnesota professional counseling licensure is also required.
   

 
   
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3-5 combined years of increasingly demanding academic experience, including hands-on experience in the areas of clinical or human services and higher education instruction.
   

 
   
Additional requirements include commitment to best practices and the highest ethical standards, commitment to diversity, and commitment to community engagement/service.  Position requires superior communication and administrative skills, technological proficiency, and thorough understanding of and commitment to outcomes assessment.  
   

 
   
SALARY AND BENEFITS: 30 hours per week of program Associate staff time compensated at $43,680- 46,800/ year DOQ. Employer-paid health and dental insurance for individual employee.  Dependent coverage available for purchase.  Flex account is also available. Employer-paid short- and long-term disability and life insurance
   

 
   
Compensation for classroom teaching, field experience supervision, and master’s project oversight is in addition to program Associate staff time. 
   
For example:
   
    
$43,680- 46,800 for 30 hours Program Associate time
 
   
 $13,340-21,500 for teaching 5-8 three-credit classes per year
 
   
$3557 for teaching four 1-credit internship classes per year (1 each term)
 
   
$2500-5,000 for chairing 5-10 master’s projects per year.
 
   
$63,077- 76,857 total salary
