Counselor-in-Residence (CR) Position Open at Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS)

CPS has an opening for a CR position starting this fall. The position involves 15 to 20 hours of commitment a week, offering two evenings of drop-in-hours (5pm to 10pm) and providing psycho-education and mental health consultation to students and staff at OU Residential Housing. It is a supervised experience that could count toward clinical hours but may not be used to meet practicum or internship requirements.  There is no stipend or salary involved. The compensation is paid through housing and other living expenses including food. CR are provided with a faculty apartment in a residence hall.

This is a great opportunity for those who are looking for additional clinical experience in crisis interventions, brief assessments and referrals as well as providing mental health consultation and prevention outreach to university community.

Minimum requirments are, masters degree in a counseling/clinical program completed by the end of this spring semester, has two years of clinical experience or completed a master's internship, and is a doctoral  student in good standing either in counseling or clinical programs.
