Dear Members,
The College of Education and Kinesiology seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track appointment for an Assistant Professor of Guidance and Counseling. Currently, Texas A&M University-San Antonio is experiencing enormous growth and is in the process of developing a new 700 acre campus located on the Southside of San Antonio. The Counseling program is a robust program with an active faculty devoted to teaching and scholarship. The successful candidate will teach graduate classes in the Master's of Arts in Counseling and will assist in the development of a Marriage and Family Counseling program with a focus on working with military individuals and families; maintain an active research agenda; supervise master's level students; and fulfill service responsibilities to the School of Education and Kinesiology and university, as well as advancing the counseling profession. Candidates will be expected to work in collaboration with other colleagues in the College of Education and Kinesiology and community partners. Faculty members will be expected to supervise practicum students.
