Counseling Students,

Join other Chi Sigma Iota Chapters at Youngstown State University for a day of Advocacy and Leadership!  Present your research in a poster session and network with students and professionals from across Ohio.

Interested in getting together with other CSI members from all over Ohio?  Come to the "Leadership and Advocacy" workshop at Youngstown State University where you will learn leadership skills from other CSI Chapters, network with counseling students, and advocate for the counseling profession!

Senator Joe Schiavoni (33rd District) will be the luncheon keynote speaker of this workshop and will discuss the importance of advocating for the counseling profession.

When:  Friday, February 22nd from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Where:  Youngstown State University, Beeghly College of Education
Cost:  $10.00 (for students) and $35.00 (for professionals) includes 3 CEU's.

The following counseling leaders will participate in a panel discussion on leadership & advocacy.


*         Dr. Victoria Kress, CSI-International President

*         Dr. Christine Bhat, Ohio Counseling Association (OCA) President

*         Dr. Cynthia Osborn, Past President of OCA & CSI-International

*         Dr. John Laux, CSI Chapter Faculty Advisor & Past President of Ohio Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.


Students will also have an opportunity to present their research a poster in a 30 minute session at this workshop (proposal form attached).

You're encouraged to register for this workshop by Feb. 10th and also submit a proposal to present a poster presentation by Feb. 1st.
