> RESPONSIBILITIES:  This full-time, 9 month tenure track, appointment includes teaching master’s and specialists level courses in the CACREP accredited school counseling program and mental health counseling. The faculty member would also teach foundational curricula across a variety of psychology and counseling related graduate programs. In addition to teaching, the faculty member would be responsible for supervising practicum students and interns in school counseling and mental health, advising graduate students, engaging in scholarly and extramural funding activities, and providing service to the institution and the profession. > QUALIFICATIONS:  Earned doctorate in Counseling or Counselor Education. Graduate of CACREP program and knowledge of accreditation is preferred.  ABD applicants will be considered. A school counseling credential is required or must be obtained within the first year and LPC/NCC is desired.

> DEPARTMENT:  The Department of Psychology and Counseling is housed in the College of Education (NCATE-accredited) and is comprised of 17 faculty members representing a diversity of preparation areas.  The department offers an undergraduate degree program in psychology and graduate programs in college student personnel services (college counseling and student affairs practice), mental health counseling, rehabilitation counseling (CORE-accredited), school psychology (NASP-approved), and school counseling (CACREP-accredited).
