			Mercer University's College of Continuing and Professional Studies invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Human Services, anon-tenure-track, full-time, nine month position beginning August 1, 2013. The position is based at the University's Henry County RegionalAcademic Center located in South metro Atlanta with teaching responsibilities possible at Mercer's Henry County, Atlanta, Douglas County,and Macon locations. 
 
The successful candidate will assume responsibilities as the Associate Program Coordinator for the newlyestablished Master of Science in Human Services program. Requirements for the position include excellence in teaching, administrativeexperience, evidence of potential for establishing a successful record of research and publication, and professional experience in the humanservices field. Responsibilities include: teaching three courses each semester at the graduate level in traditional and non-traditionalformats, seeking external funding, student advising, serving on department and college committees, contributing to the university's mission,and administrative duties associated with the Associate Program Coordinator position. 
 
Successful candidates must have completed adoctoral degree in a Human Services-related discipline, with sociology, psychology, mental health, social services, or nonprofitadministration preferred, from a regionally accredited University/College. Coursework in gerontology at the graduate level is required.Preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching adult learners and career experience in a Human Services organization.
