Assistant/Associate Professor/Counseling, Department of Counseling Psychology and Guidance Services

Tenure-track faculty position available August 16, 2013.

Responsibilities: instruct and supervise in the CACREP-accredited school counseling program as well as related master's and doctoral programs; contribute to the department's scientist-professional training model; be a productive scholar and effective teacher; be dedicated to professional public service.

Minimum qualifications: demonstrate professional competence in school counseling; doctorate in counselor education (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) from a CACREP-accredited program and obtain certification as a school counselor by December 1, 2013. ABD candidates will be considered only if all degree requirements will be completed by August 16, 2013.

Preferred qualifications: background that allows contributions to other graduate programs within the department; ability to mentor students on diversity issues and facilitate immersive learning experiences.

The American Psychological Association of Graduate Students recognized the department as the 2005 outstanding graduate psychology program. The school counseling program is recognized by the Education Trust as a Transforming School Counseling Program.
