Dear CESNET community,
The School of Education and Kinesiology seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track appointment for Fall 2013 with the option of beginning as soon as spring 2013. The 9 month appointment is for an Assistant Professor of Guidance and Counseling. Currently, Texas A&M--San Antonio is experiencing enormous growth and is in the process of developing a new 700 acre campus located on the Southside of San Antonio. The Counseling program is a robust program with an active faculty devoted to teaching and scholarship. The successful candidate will teach graduate classes in the Master of Arts in Counseling; maintain an active research agenda; supervise master's level students; and fulfill service responsibilities to the School of Education and Kinesiology and university, as well as advancing the counseling profession. Currently the Department of Guidance and Counseling offers a School and Mental Health Counseling track. In Fall 2013, the department anticipates offering a Marriage and Family Counseling Track with a Military Family Reintegration emphasis. Candidates will be expected to work in collaboration with other colleagues in the School of Education and Kinesiology and community partners.
