Position Description:

We are seeking a faculty member for a tenure-track position in a dynamic and productive Master's level CACREP accredited Counseling Program. Our department is looking for a generalist who can teach a range of CACREP core courses as well as specialty courses in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School counseling, and Addictions Counseling. Responsibilities include teaching and clinical supervision in our on-campus, off-campus, and Online Plus programs. The ideal candidate will identify as a counselor educator who can creatively engage in teaching, service to the department, campus and community, and collaborate on professional scholarship. Some travel, evening, weekend, and on-line course delivery are required. Although Adams State University is located in a small, rural, agricultural community in south central Colorado, we are uniquely situated for a range of outdoor activities. Hard work, initiative, flexibility, and sense of humor are valued!

Qualifications:
1.     Doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program.  ABD considered.
2.     Dedication to teaching excellence.
3.     Active participation in professional counseling organizations.
4.     Ability to work collaboratively with other academic departments, community agencies, and public schools.
5.     Ability to develop a record of professional scholarship and achievement.
6.     Teaching experience preferred and familiarity with on-line course delivery desirable.
7.     Eligibility for national and/or state counseling license (NCC, LPC, LPSC. LAC)
8.     Knowledge of and experience in the field of addiction or school counseling is desirable.
9.     Ability to perform the duties in the position description.

Rank, Salary, and Benefits:  Appointment at the assistant/associate professor level. Base salary is commensurate with rank and experience and opportunities for supplemental contracts are available. Adams State University offers an excellent benefits package.
