The Eugene T. Moore School of Education at Clemson University invites applications for a clinical faculty position in school counseling. Clemson University strives to prepare counselors who possess the skills and dispositions to work effectively with diverse populations and to engage in data-driven practices. The growing Upstate South Carolina area offers opportunities for diverse field experience placements, which facilitates the university's interest incandidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
The Counselor Education program at Clemson University offers master's degree concentrations in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling (both CACREP accredited) as well as Student Affairs Practice. We offer evening programs serving a combination of full-time and part-time students. Counselor Education courses are taught on campus and in Greenville, SC (30 miles north of campus). Clemson University is a land-grant institution located in Clemson, SC near the lower end of the Appalachian Mountains and halfway between Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC. Clemson University is one of South Carolina's three research institutions, and it is currently ranked as the 25th best national public university by U.S. News and World Report.

This 9-month contractual position will begin no later than August 2013, with the possibility of a summer 2013 start if desired.
Responsibilities:

 *   Serving as coordinator for school counseling field experiences
 *   Maintaining and enhancing collaborative relationships with local schoolsystems and site supervisors
 *   Teaching on and off campus classes in school counseling and the counseling core
 *   Supervising school counseling practicum and internship students
 *   Advising master's students in school counseling
 *   Participating in program, departmental, college, university, and professional service
Qualifications:

 *   Earned Doctoral degree in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program (ABDs will be considered)
 *   At least 2 years of school counseling experience
 *   Potential for excellence in teaching, supervision, and service in school counseling
 *   Experience with diverse populations
 *   Licensed or license-eligible (e.g., LPC, certified school counselor)
