The Master of Arts degree program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Montreat College is seeking applicants for on-site adjunct faculty teaching positions (classes are not taught online at this time). Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Counseling, Counseling and Counselor Education, or Counselor Education and Supervision (candidates with ABD status and a scheduled completion date will be considered). The ideal candidate will profess a Christian faith, and will have college/university teaching experience, including experience teaching at the graduate level, as well as a clear professional identity as a mental health counselor including licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in NC. Applicants should submit a (1) letter of interest, (2) current vita that includes a list of 3 professional references, (3) copies of all undergraduate and graduate level transcripts (official copies will be required upon hiring), (4) Statement of Faith, (5) statement addressing the interface/integration of faith and teaching, and (6) Teaching Philosophy.
The master's program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Montreat College is a new program, beginning cohorts in summer 2012. Courses are 8 week, intensive courses and meet one night a week for four hours. Courses will be offered in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the Asheville and Charlotte locations, and other nearby locations beginning in the fall semester.
