Position 1:

The Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position in the Counseling & Psychology Department is a tenure track position in Counselor Education. This position is responsible for teaching courses in evaluation and assessment, research, and other counseling related courses; pursuit of scholarship and a research agenda; service on committees at all levels; involvement in service to the community; advisement of graduate students; and supervision of clinical practica and internships.

Minimum qualifications:

1. An earned doctorate in Counselor Education from CACREP accredited program
2. Credentials and experience in the field of clinical mental health counseling

Preferred:

1. Either licensed or licensable in state of Alabama
2. Experienced Clinician
3 Experienced in teaching clinical courses at university level
4. Experienced in Practicum & Internship Supervision

This position is responsible for teaching a full spectrum of Counselor Education courses including but not limited to Theories of Counseling, Behavior Pathology/Diagnosis & Treatment, and Facilitation Techniques; as well as supervision of clinical practica and internships. This position is also responsible for pursuit of scholarship and research agenda, service on committees at all levels, involvement in service to the community, and advisement of graduate students.
