Students,
You are causing problems for others on the third floor. Please see comments below. We will have to make significant to the program if this continues, particular to the times that students will be permitted to use the Hill Centers for labs. If the college moves toward requiring faculty supervision for students when they are in the Hill Center, it will limit the times that it can be used by students. If you want the option of using the rooms in the Hill Center during the evening hours, please respect the wishes of all others on the third floor and leave the windows closed. The cool air causes the heat to increase and the thermostat in the Hill Center controls much of the third floor heating.

Show, by your actions, that you choose peace over war, freedom over oppression, voice over silence, service over self-interest, respect over advantage, cooperation over competition, action over passivity, diversity over uniformity, and justice over all.

Subject: Hill Center Windows open again
The good news is that I was still here when the heat started pouring into my office because the windows were again left open in the counseling rooms.
The bad news is that it is still an ongoing problem. As I said previously, when students leave these windows open and the temps drop the heat would have been blasting into our offices for the entire weekend had I not found it and dealt with it. Someone, some person, needs to take responsibility for making sure those windows, if they are opened, are closed again. It is really frustrating to us to have this kind of irresponsibility visited on our offices with no one held accountable.
Please see to it that there is some step other than an email. So far, it is clear that reminder emails are insufficient to stop this problem. Thank you for attending to this and addressing it with those in the offices.
