> Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Counselor Education or a closely–related field, successful teaching experience in a graduate program in counseling, demonstrated capacity for scholarly productivity and the potential for external funding, a strong identity as a professional counselor,  and a demonstrated commitment to the preparation of school counselors. Preference will be given to graduates of a CACREP-accredited program, and to applicants with previous experience as a school counselor, a strong interest in promoting national models for transforming school counseling, expertise with NCATE and CACREP, and an active research program focused on the preparation and professional development of school counselors.
