Counselors, Social Workers, and Graduate Students Enrolled in Clinical Mental Health Related Programs Will:

♦ Understand the social and economic conditions that are driving a Healthcare paradigm change to wellness.

♦ Learn a model of wellness that can be used as a basis for assessing and counseling clients.

♦ Learn how to use a model of behavior change based on curative factors.

♦ Learn the categories of CAM modalities as indicated by the National Institute of Health National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine.

♦ Learn examples of the uses of CAM practices in counseling.

♦ Learn about finding CAM providers.
