Position:       High School Guidance Counselor

Ayersville High School is seeking applicants for a 9-12 guidance and
counseling position.  Candidates must possess appropriate certification or
license.  Ideally, the candidate would bring to the school system a variety of
experiences to support the management of the following responsibilities:

•    Individual and/or group counseling
•    Assisting students with course registration and meeting graduation       
        requirements
•    Schedule building through the PowerSchool system
•    Assisting students with the college application process
•    Assisting students with scholarship applications
•    Managing the local scholarship program
•    Managing and facilitating the state testing program
•    Managing student records
•    Maintaining accurate student data files through PowerSchool
•    Knowledge of EMIS reporting
•    Knowledge of Middle and Elementary school services is a plus as we are
        a K-12 building
•    Knowledge of the IAT process and special education services
•    Ability to network with personnel from other districts, the Career Center,
        and higher education to meet the needs of students engaging in
        programming beyond our building
