Subject: Student Ambassadors Wanted for 2011 ORA and IARP-OH Conference


Greetings!
 
The ORA and IARP-OH Training Conference will be November 1-4, 2011 in Columbus, Ohio at the Hyatt Regency Columbus Hotel.  Student volunteers are needed to assist with session monitoring and other duties, working the registration/membership tables, selling raffle tickets, etc.  For more information on this conference, please check the CONFERENCE page on the ORA website at:  www.ohiorehab.org (a preview of sessions is also posted).
 
As of this date, we have not had any students volunteer for this opportunity and we would like to have eight volunteers for this program.  Two rooms (1 male/1 female) have been reserved for the students on Wednesday night, November 2 and Thursday night, November 3.  The ORA Home Secretary will be sending out an email to the students today; however, universities typically block our emails so we are more dependent on you getting the word out.
 
Please announce this opportunity to your students immediately.  They must complete the Student Ambassador Application Form (see print only version and the interactive version attached) and submit it to Carol Wagner Williams at:  831professor at gmail.com by Monday, October 3, 2011.  
 
The benefits students receive are:  opportunities to network with rehabilitation professionals, free registration on the days the student works as a volunteer, opportunities to meet other rehabilitation students, as well as the scholarship funds help cover the cost of the hotel.
