Governors State University invites application for two, tenure-track, faculty positions in School Counseling. The successful candidates will teach graduate classes in the School Counseling sequence and undergradu-ate courses if necessary; maintain an active research agenda; assist in the coordination of the school coun-seling program; supervise master's level students; and fulfill service responsibilities to the division, col-lege, and university, and in advancing the counseling profession. Candidates will be expected to work in collaboration with other colleagues in the College of Education and community partners; develop and carry out a research/grant agenda that addresses culturally-diverse is-sues and concerns; and supervise students in practicum and in internship field placements. GSU is the only public university in Chicago's south suburban area, servicing approximately 7,750 stu-dents. Minimum Qualifications:
*
Doctorate degree in Counselor Education or closely-related field; ABDs will be considered;
* Professional identity as a counselor educator;
* Commitment to the professional field of counselor education and school counseling as evidenced by education, teaching, school experience, research, and professional affiliations, such as ASCA, ACES, and ACA;
* Experience in teaching graduate level courses; and
* Commitment to diversity and multicultural counseling competencies
