Maryville University of St. Louis is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as Assistant/ Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Counseling and Rehabilitation Services.

This position will begin August 1, 2012 and is a tenure track 9-month position. Summer teaching is also available.  The Rehabilitation programs are housed in the School of Health Professions. Maryville is an independent, coeducational, comprehensive university committed to student engagement in learning.  Maryville University's campus is located in West St. Louis County featuring 130 acres of rolling hills, wooded areas, creeks and two lakes.  It is within 15 minutes of downtown St. Louis.

Duties for this position will include teaching undergraduate courses (Vocational & Psychiatric Rehabilitation), academic advisement of students, research and service to the university and monitoring clinical sites. Required qualifications include a doctorate in rehabilitation education or a closely related field. The successful applicant will be a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) or eligible to sit for the exam and have experience in vocational rehabilitation.

Program Description
Maryville University's graduate program in rehabilitation counseling is accredited by the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE).  Students can also specialize in Marriage and Family Therapy and or Substance Abuse.  The program also offers a Bachelors of Science in Rehabilitation Services, which is a member of CORE's undergraduate registry.  The Rehabilitation Services program also offers concentrations in Independent Living and Psychiatric Rehabilitation.

The review process will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Applications will be accepted until position is filled.  The starting date is August 1, 2012.
