Integrating Biofeedback Into Counseling: A Primer
 
Biofeedback interventions fit well into the counseling-wellness perspective of helping clients achieve optimal health and well-being. It is a system based on monitoring biological signals produced by the body and is an outstanding way to change behaviors which are responsible for symptoms such as pain, hypertension, anxiety and migraines. Teaching clients biofeedback techniques enables them to learn self-awareness and self-regulation skills. This may empower them to improve and increase their levels of stress management, coping strategies and wellness. Participants will be introduced to biofeedback instrumentation, assessment and basic interventions through hands-on experience with several biofeedback instruments. Approvals: Nursing home adminstrators (BEHNA), counselors, marriage and family therapists, nurses, and social workers. 
 
CEUs: 0.30  Hours: 3.00
 
Fee for course only $69. 
 
If a professional certificate is required, add $10 to the fee.
