Assistant Professor position to begin August 16, 2012 in the Rehabilitation Institute, Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

It is an appointment in the Rehabilitation Counseling and Administration program.  We seek a colleague who will establish a prominent research program within a nationally recognized rehabilitation education program that is expanding as part of the university’s faculty hiring initiative.

Requirements: The rank of Assistant Professor requires the completed doctorate with a concentration in rehabilitation counseling or rehabilitation administration, or a related discipline.  Applicants should possess the potential for scholarly research that leads to publications in nationally refereed journals.  The candidate’s area of specialty is open but should be compatible with, and preferably complement, current faculty specializations in Rehabilitation Counseling and Administration.

Preference given to applicants that are Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC).  Review of applications will begin February 1, 2012, and continue until position is filled.  A complete application must include:  (1) a letter of application; (2) a curriculum vita; (3) transcript of highest degree earned; (4) and a minimum of three references with contact information.
