> Summary
> The Third ASERVIC Conference on Spirituality in Counseling is open to all counselors, practitioners, and educators interested in integrating spirituality and counseling regardless of theoretical orientation, religious/spiritual background, or work setting. It is held in an atmosphere of respect for and appreciation of all perspectives and backgrounds.
> Background
> The Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling (ASERVIC) is an organization of counselors and human development professionals who believe spiritual, ethical, and religious values are essential to the overall development of the person and are committed to integrating these values into the counseling process.
> Presentation Categories
> Content Sessions (either 1 hour or 1 ½ hours) will be similar to educational sessions at other conferences. These might include research findings, best practices, innovative training approaches, and the like.
> 45-minute poster sessions will also be similar to other conference poster sessions – a table will be provided where presenters can display their work and have 30 minutes to share their ideas with conference attendees.
> Experiential Sessions (either 1 hour or 1 ½ hours) will be unique to the ASERVIC Conference. These sessions should focus on providing a spiritual-related activity or practice for attendees to participate in, either for their own edification or to re-create with clients and/or students.
> Preparation of Proposals
> Individuals are limited to a maximum of two presentation proposals.
> Please complete the form, save the file to your computer with the following title:
> “Your name–ASERVIC Proposal.doc” (e.g., Hutchinson-ASERVIC Proposal.doc).
> Then, attach the file to an email and send it to Tracy Hutchinson at tracyhutchinson at ucf.edu. Proposals must be submitted no later than 5:00 pm EST, December 15, 2011.
> Decisions will be sent via email to the primary presenter by February 15, 2012.
